Sales Account Executive

Urban Alarm is a fast growing security company serving customers from private residences to the US ARMY to your neighborhood hardware store and coffee shop. We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to take a leadership role in supporting our customers. We are the leading DC based provider of security alarm, access control, mobile guard patrol, and IP video services.

Compensation and benefits:

Compensation for this position is dependent on the applicant’s qualification and experience.  The base salary for this position is approximately $30K to $40K with significant incentive bonus to achieve target sales compensation of $80K to $130K.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Our services are very competitive and compelling with high win rates. The Sales Executive’s role is to get to the right people at the right time and to cultivate those who are not.
  • The Sales Executive will be provided with a significant number of inbound opportunities every week and will be expected to network with the community as well as existing customers to develop new opportunities.  Further, some base accounts will be provided as a starting point for networking and development.

In addition, the Sales Executive is expected to:

  • Research and identify additional opportunities such as new businesses, projects in development, etc.  Follow up with these opportunities and set up appointments with them.
  • Work with Urban Alarm engineers to generate proposals.  Over time, the Associate Account Manager will be expected to create proposals on their own.  Urban Alarm has invested in a proprietary system for rapid proposal creation to make this process as easy as possible.
  • Follow up with customers.  Maintain a strong relationship with them and ensure they are satisfied.
  • Participate in community events where Urban Alarm is a sponsor.
  • Other projects as needed will also be assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about the sales process and should have excellent customer service skills. We are not a “hard sell” organization so customer service comes first.  The ideal candidate is expected to learn about the technical aspects of electronic security and be able to apply them when dealing with customers.
